Maintenance of heat exchangers at Japanese zipper factory

Status: The factory requested Hesco to survey and evaluate the Hisaka heat exchanger for excessively high pressure loss. After survey, Hesco recommends maintenance, cleaning and replacement of gaskets for this set.

Maintenance process:

Measuring size – tightening length
Remove the plate
Remove the gasket
Soak in chemicals
Spray the panels with high pressure water
Install gasket
Install the plate onto the heat exchanger
Tighten the frame to the correct length as initially measured
Run pressure test and accept
